• By train
From Rome: there are direct trains every hour to Viterbo (P.ta Fiorentina) from Roma Ostiense station (€4.50. 1:45 h).
From the North and the South: it is necessary to arrive at Orte station and then change for Viterbo (P.ta Fiorentina).

• By car
From the A1 motorway take the ORTE exit. After the toll gate turn left to get onto the Orte-Viterbo Highway (SS 204) making sure that you follow the signpost for Viterbo. After about 27 km, exit from the highway at VITERBO NORD.

• By bus
From Rome:
The COTRAL bus company (Compagnia Trasporti Laziali) links Roma-Saxa Rubra to Viterbo-Riello in about one and a quarter hours (€3.80). The bus leaves from Rome-Saxa Rubra, reachable by car (pay car park) or by local train from Piazzale Flaminio (to reach this station take Line A of Rome underground). The timetable can be consulted on www.cotralspa.it/scarica_orari_roma.asp by typing Viterbo in the search box and choosing D1 or D2 (Alternatively contact COTRAL Viterbo directly, Via Nazario Sauro, 7 - Tel. 0761.324914 - 0761.226592 (Bus Station) - Fax 0761.345908 or the free-toll number 800.431784.
From Siena:
The SIRA bus company links Siena-Viterbo (Train Station Porta Romana). From Siena to Viterbo: every day except Sundays and holidays, leaving Siena at 6.00 am from the Train Station Square. • By plane
The nearest airports are in Rome: Leonardo da Vinci – Fiumicino airport and Ciampino airport.
The train from the Fiumicino airport stops at both Roma Termini station as well as Roma-Ostiense station. Proceed as indicated above.
